£180,000-a-Week Liverpool Star 'Agrees Personal Terms' to Leave Anfield

Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa has agreed personal terms with AC Milan ahead of a potential summer move, according to journalist Sebastien Vidal.

The Italian forward struggled for game time at Anfield this season after joining in a cut-price deal from Juventus last summer, making just six appearances in the Premier League as the Reds claimed their 20th top-flight title.

Now Chiesa is set to leave the club in search of more regular football, and he has now agreed terms to leave and return back to his homeland.

Talks on between clubs over deal

According to Vidal, Chiesa has now reached a 'verbal agreement' with the Serie A club over a summer transfer and he is 'ready to return' to Italy.

Talks are now ongoing between Liverpool and AC Milan over a transfer fee for the winger, and a summer move is on the cards. Liverpool are on the verge of signing Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, while Jeremie Frimpong has also been signed already which means the forward areas won't be light on options should he depart.

Chiesa, who currently earns around £180,000-a-week at Anfield, failed to make an impact in the Premier League after falling behind all of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and even Harvey Elliott in the pecking order.

There are expected to be more departures this summer on Merseyside with Gakpo having interest from Bayern Munich, while Darwin Nunez is likely to move on amid interest from Saudi Arabia and Atletico Madrid, as Liverpool look to strengthen their attack.

Hugo Ekitike has been mooted as a potential option for the number nine position, although Frankfurt are demanding around £84m to let him leave, and Chelsea are also providing competition for his signature.
