Former Pakistan captains Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik are among the list of players in diamond category for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), slated to take place in the April-May window this year.Sarfaraz, who was associated with Quetta Gladiators since the inception of the league, was released by the former champions earlier this month and thus will be a part of the players draft for the first time since the inaugural edition in 2016.Similarly, Malik will also be a part of the PSL draft for the first time since the inception of the marquee league as he parted ways with 2020 champions Karachi Kings, for whom he played four seasons.Besides Sarfaraz and Malik, Mohammad Nawaz, Aamir Jamal, Abbas Afridi, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Ali and Mohammad Hasnain are the other national players in the diamond category.The diamond category also features players from Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, Ireland, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, UAE, USA, West Indies and Zimbabwe.The list features diverse mix of emerging and experienced players from all over the world, all vying for a chance to join any of the six franchise teams.Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday unveiled a revised pick order for the upcoming PSL 10 draft.The previous three Platinum categories have been consolidated into two, while the number of Diamond categories has been reduced from three to one.Additionally, the Gold categories have been trimmed from three to two, and the Silver categories have been reduced from five to three.In terms of draft pick order, Lahore Qalandars have secured the first pick in the Platinum 1 category, followed by Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans and Islamabad United.
